This is the most inexpensive place we found on Dauphin to grab a meal. Food on the island is already relatively inexpensive because there are none of those tourist trap restaurants to be found. But some of the specials I saw while I was there, was a $3.99 shrimp and grits breakfast (delicious), chili cheese dog, and the island cheeseburger. The cheeseburger deserves Cheeseburger in Paradise fame. Add a big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer and you have EXACTLY what Jimmy was singing about! The one thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the sausage patties in the morning. This place has an awesome gas cooktop, nice looking kitchen for those that, like me, like to cook. But the sausage was some of that rubbery, pre-formed crap that come in "ready to heat and eat". Swimming in a vat of questionable looking stew. I'm a sausage freak. Do it right or don't do it at all.

My dad and I enjoy going to the DI Chevron Grill when we visit the island. They have a great breakfast. I get the pig in a blanket and my dad gets the chicken and egg biscuit. Tom is very nice.

Amazing biscuit sandwich! The best and the fastest breakfast in the area. Don't let the name Chevron throw you off. There is actually a sweet lady who makes them fresh to order so you can take them to your beach house to enjoy. We found this out the last day of our week long vacation. Wish we would have tried it sooner. Yumm!

Had biscuit sandwiches for breakfast of which they offer a number of options including fried chicken, sausage, and steak. It was typical for what it was and was very much 'gas station food' (e.g. grease seeping through bag, ingredients sitting under warmers all morning, etc.). Someone assembles and microwaves it for you but it isn't made fresh. I'm not sure what the other options on Dauphin Island for breakfast are but if this is the best they have to offer I'd prefer to throw something together at home instead of going out. Also, stay away from the grits, they were particularly rough.

Make sure you stop in here on your way in to the island if you are staying for any amount of time. they have amazing prices considering supply and demand. our family of four had breakfast for about the cost of eating at McDonalds without the guilt or belly ache. They make everything fresh and right in front of you. They came in handy when we needed food fast and didn't want to head into a restaurant or cook at our suite. they also have a couple of picnic tables out front. Best place on the island to go for breakfast.

Sadly enough, the best place we ate during our stay on this scenic island was this gas station! Had breakfast here (chicken and egg biscuits) and it was delicious. Also, it was fast and it was cheap! Cleanliness wasn't 100% but, other than that it seemed to be the best bet for a decent meal!

Other than the lighthouse great place to get breakfast. Quick easy and good. Had chicken and sausage biscuits. Crispy and tasty. Also they have pizzas which are good and fairly cheaply priced. They are not very large so get more than one- we got two for our family of five.

Best place for breakfast on DI. Great biscuits you can get with sausage, chicken and/or egg. Decent sandwiches & pizza. They make donuts out of the biscuit dough as well. They're decent not awesome. Very friendly staff.
